Jantar (Slupsk) – 22.250 sqm GLA
With the 3 shopping centres opened in 2008 Mayland created a new retail environment, offering the retail experience in different locations: Opole, the crossroad between Upper and Silesia is represented by Karolinka – the largest shopping centre offering two destinations in one – regional mall and retail park. Another dominant regional shopping centre is Jantar in Slupsk, the first destination to all families, with large multibrand fashion mix, and sports & leisure anchors, a large food court. Pogoria, the shopping centre opened by Mayland in the city center of Dabrowa Gornicza, is now the perfect place to shop, to meet and relax, the downtown address for the local community.

Specialized in the development of innovative commercial, entertainment and service prime centres in Central and Eastern Europe, Mayland Real Estate continues to support modern trade by creating shopping malls best tailored to local markets. Located both in major and growing middle size cities, as Cracow, Gdynia, Szczecin, Rzeszow, Slupsk and Przemysl, the next projects will offer to Polish market 257.000 sqm GLA starting by Q4 of 2011.
In Cracow, the future Serenada Shopping Centre will offer 40,000 sq m GLA for high populated Northern districts, complementing a leading mass-market retail and entertainment destination. As the new beating heart of this area, Serenada will bring a new offer to the families of Cracow, next to Obi DIY, Real Hypermarket, Multikino and Parkowodny Aqua Park.
In Gdynia Mayland Real Estate has been chosen by the owners of Wzgorze Shopping Centre to bring new value remodeling the existing shopping centre and developing a new extension. Wzgorze will be offering 65000 sqm GLA and a new major market place for the city.
In Szczecin, the 7th largest city in Poland, Mayland is to open as well a lifestyle shopping centre. Aleja Slonca of 35,000 sq m will be located next to the already existing Ster Shopping Centre. As a city located by the border, it is an attractive, frequently visited destination also for the customers inhabiting the neighboring German province. Aleja Slonca will bring to new residential districts a new retail high street and entertainment facilities with multiplex cinema.
In Rzeszow, the largest dominant shopping centre in the region, offering 62.000 sqm GLA, a monument of glass and light is to be located in the strongest place of the city. Bella Dolina, the regional mall and retail park will be developed next to the future motorway, linking the city center and the airport destinations. As the major regional retail and entertainment destination, Bella Dolina will bring the completing offer of goods, electronics, sport & leisure world, catering outlets, a convenience area for daily shopping and the largest international fashion mix anchors, satisfying the needs of 300.000 families of the region.
In Slupsk, after the successful opening of Jantar shopping centre, Mayland Real Estate will develop an extension of 20.000 sqm GLA to create a new dominant regional mall, totaling 42250 sqm GLA. Together with multiplex cinema, a large food court and multibrand fashion mix, Jantar will become the first and only dominant destination in the region.
In Przemysl, Mayland Real Estate will develop Galeria Karmina, a medium size shopping centre (35.000 sqm GLA) close to the border with Ukraine. Located 5 minutes from the downtown and next to leading category killers (Castorama, MediaMarkt, Tesco), Galeria Karmina will be the new urban mall in Przemysl.
Focusing on the end consumer satisfaction, Mayland Real Estate knows that 70% of the customers in the Polish shopping centres are women, responsible for 80% of the purchase decisions.
